Brereton, Staffordshire : ウィキペディア英語版 | Brereton, Staffordshire
Brereton is a former village in the Cannock Chase District of Staffordshire, England. It once had a separate identity but is now effectively subsumed into the town of Rugeley, although it is in the civil parish of Brereton and Ravenhill. At the 2001 census the parish had a population of 6,524.〔 Once mining was a big part of this area not only from the Leahall Mine but also several smaller ones in the area. Recently part of the mine area has been redeveloped as the Towers Business Park with its iconic Towers Point building. There are several churches within the district, the most notable being the Church of England Church of St. Michael's. There is also a Methodist church, built in 1809, the first church building in Brereton, named the Brereton Methodist Church. Brereton used to have a railway from the Brereton Sidings (Rugeley Town) and led down many pathways to the mining areas of Brereton. Some sleepers may be seen along the Trail which is a walk for those wishing to avoid the A51 road Brereton Main Road. ==References==
